Our Story
A Slower Kind of Hospitality
Hygge began with a simple idea: that a wine bar, a café, and a furniture shop don’t need to be three separate trips. They can be one warm, unhurried space — somewhere you might drop in for coffee and leave with a ceramic vase, or book a table for the evening and end up chatting with the person who made your chair. We’re bringing that idea to life in Tenbury Wells, opening our doors in September 2026.

Hygge is a Scandinavian idea, but this is a very Worcestershire home for it — a small market town where things are still made by hand and conversations still happen over a counter. Our furniture, lighting and ceramics are chosen the same way we’ll pour your wine: carefully, and with people who know their craft. Come and see for yourself.
